Margot Homans' unveiling of ‘Il Dono’

in Pietrasanta - Italy
We are delighted to share some wonderful news regarding Margot Homan, who has been one of our regularly exhibiting artists for many years. On Saturday, 18 April 2026, at 16:00, her bronze masterpiece ‘Il Dono’ (The Gift) will be officially unveiled at the Piazzetta Crispi in the heart of Pietrasanta, Italy. Seeing her work receive such prestigious permanent placement in the "Little Athens" of Italy is a testament to her world-class craftsmanship and the timeless beauty of her figurative sculptures.

The unveiling of ‘Il Dono’ is a deeply personal milestone for Margot. Having worked in Pietrasanta for over 40 years, she chose to donate this significant bronze sculpture as an "acte de restitution" - a gesture of gratitude to the city and the local artisans who have helped shape her artistic journey.

The sculpture was cast at the renowned Fonderia Artistica Mariani, the very foundry where Margot has brought her visions to life for four decades. By placing this work on the Piazzetta Crispi, it officially becomes part of Pietrasanta’s International Park of Contemporary Sculpture, joining a collection of works by some of the world’s most celebrated artists.

The official inauguration will be hosted by the Mayor of Pietrasanta, Alberto Stefano Giovannetti, alongside the Honorary Consul of the Netherlands, Silvia Traverso

As a gallery that has championed Margot’s work for so many years, we are  proud to see her receive this international recognition. Her ability to capture "universal humanity" in bronze and marble continues to inspire us, and ‘Il Dono’ stands as a magnificent symbol of that enduring legacy.
