It is exactly 40 years since Walter Elst first dedicated himself with full conviction to the art of painting. Sunday, 25 January, we shall be celebrating this remarkable anniversary with the grand opening of his solo exhibition from 2:00 pm. You are cordially invited to join us.
Walter Elst paints with a rare, effortless precision. His work is striking and direct, attained not through detour or hesitation, but in a single gesture, underpinned by exceptional talent. He finds his inspiration in the natural world, a source of beauty that, for him, remains inexhaustible.
For thirty years, we have had the distinct honour of being the sole gallery to represent his work. Throughout this time, his paintings have found their way to countless collectors and admirers. It would therefore be a profound pleasure for Walter to have the opportunity to meet with you on this special day. The famous Dutch biologist and author Midas Dekkers will deliver an opening address at approximately 2:30 pm.
