About

Founded in 1993, Morren Galleries has long been dedicated to presenting contemporary figurative art, complemented by a passion for diverse artistic forms and design. Over the years, the gallery expanded to four locations - including Utrecht, Amsterdam, and Haarlem - before returning in 2017 to its original home on the Oudegracht.

Situated in the picturesque heart of Utrecht’s vibrant Museum Quarter, Morren Galleries occupies a remarkable historic location along the Oudegracht. The gallery features two unique, spacious cellar spaces, former wharf cellars, offering an inspiring setting that perfectly complements the artworks on display.

The gallery is led by its founder, Eric Morren, supported by long-standing assistant Annemiek Schmidt Crans and his partner, Séverine Morren van Garderen

Over the course of many years, the gallery has presented countless remarkable exhibitions, often marked by memorable openings. Some unfold in an intimate and understated atmosphere, while others take on a more celebratory spirit, with live music and guest speakers. Such occasions often lead to lively conversations, unexpected encounters and sometimes even lasting friendships. People from all walks of life and of every generation gather here, each bringing their own perspective and character. Morren Galleries is, above all, a place where everyone is welcome!

In 2023, Eric and Séverine created a private gallery and sculpture garden at their countryside home just outside Utrecht. This space is opened to the public several times a year and can be visited by appointment.

Today, Morren Galleries remains committed to showcasing art with character, craftsmanship and a distinct artistic voice.
