Lucie Sentjens

Lucie Sentjens (Brussels, 1959) is a sculptor, graduated from the Cambre in 1982 in the studio of Rik Poot.
She takes evening painting lessons in Uccle with Arié Mandelbaum and in Etterbeek with Jacques Muller (1983).
Her favorite subjects are: “The Woman” and “the Horse”
One of her creations, the horse "Gregala" (State Warrant) is located at the entrance to the Bosfort racecourse.
In addition to exceptional knowledge of the material and mastery in making bronze statues,

Lucie knows how to evoke the elegant wildness of a gallop and the contemplative sensuality of women.
In the press: "through physical effort and talent she has established herself as a sculptor in her own right,
when Sentjens speaks of the act of creation, she speaks of it as a quest, a dialogue with the world,
she perceives herself as dust in the universe participating in a whole.”
